Claire Campbell Outstanding Achievement Awards 2025 Launches For Entries
Do you know a deaf child or young person, or adult supporting deaf children, who has gone above and beyond to raise the expectations of what deaf children can achieve?
Entries are now open for the third annual Claire Campbell Outstanding Achievement Awards recognising deaf children and young people, as well as adults, who have gone above and beyond to raise expectations and showcase what deaf children can achieve with early and effective support. The award remembers Claire who was dedicated to supporting deaf children to have the same opportunities in life as their hearing peers.
Entry is in two categories:
- Child or young person with hearing loss who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate that deaf children can achieve their potential.
- Adult, such as a professional, teacher, parent or carer, who has gone above and beyond to support a deaf child or children to achieve their potential and/or challenge the perceptions of what deaf children can achieve.
Chris Campbell, Claire’s husband, pictured last year with their children Joe, Ollie and Alice, said: “These annual awards are such a meaningful way to honour Claire’s legacy. As a family, we have been overwhelmed by the incredible entries, each reflecting truly outstanding achievements—both proving what deaf children and young people can accomplish and celebrating the adults who go above and beyond to support them.
“Claire’s passion and dedication to ensuring every deaf child can achieve their potential live on through so many remarkable individuals and teams. Every entry has been truly inspiring, demonstrating time and time again that being deaf is never a barrier to aspiration. As the awards continue to grow each year, I can’t wait to see even more incredible stories and take on the ever-tougher task of choosing the winners for 2025.”
