New CIICA Members: Pacific Neuroscience Institute
We are delighted to become new members of CIICA, as it is an incredible resource for individuals with cochlear implants and the broader Cochlear Implant community. We are excited to be part of this supportive network and look forward to contributing to its mission.
We thought you might like to learn a little more about who we are and the work we do.
Our Cochlear Implant Team at Pacific Neuroscience Institute (PNI) in Los Angeles is an interdisciplinary group of specialists dedicated to the comprehensive care of individuals with hearing loss, including diagnosis, surgical intervention, and long-term rehabilitation. The team delivers evidence-based, patient-centered care supported by the latest advances in cochlear implant technology.
In addition to clinical excellence, the team is actively engaged in research focused on the relationship between cochlear implantation, brain health, cognition, and quality of life. This work reflects a broader commitment to advancing the field and improving long-term outcomes for patients.
Education and community engagement are central to the program. The team provides accessible resources, weekly support groups, and structured opportunities
for candidates, mentors, and families to connect and share experiences throughout the cochlear implant journey.
The team includes Cochlear Implant Coordinator David, Cochlear Implant Surgical Coordinator Staphany, Surgeon Dr. Voelker, Audiologist Dr. Lewis, and Cochlear Implant Ambassador Mathilde Tranberg, and the Founder of the program Dr. Griffiths.
The team recently had the privilege of meeting with founders of CIICA at the International Cochlear Implant Conference in Warsaw, Poland, providing an important opportunity for international collaboration and exchange within the global cochlear implant community.
