Adults with CI tell us that they are very satisfied with their technology and rely on them for communication in everyday life. but....funded lifelong services must be provided. 32% report not enough rehabilitation.

We are pleased to share our new report, Young Adults with CI Matter, looks at the data from our global survey from those implanted as children and now young adults. It adds the issues arising from their CIICA Conversations and the Global Advisory Group of Young People with CI to produce a unique comprehensive report from this pioneering group.

Historically, the literacy attainments of deaf children have been low -and there is now considerable and growing evidence of the impact of cochlear implantation.  This evidence is summarised in this briefing paper  The Positive Impact of CI on Deaf Children's Literacy. Downloadable.

A Practical Guide For CI Advocacy provides useful guidance on advocacy skills, case studies on CI advocacy to illustrate key strategies and how to develop a campaign for improving CI provision, wherever you are. This is a developing Guide and more to come!

This new tool from WHO is intended to support countries in implementing  community level programmes for the delivery of hearing aid services in order to increase by 20% the effective coverage of hearing technology among people with hearing loss by 2030.

Not all children who could benefit have the access to CI or the support to fully benefit from their improved hearing. This new Information resource from CIICA and EUROCIU provides up to date information about the impact of deafness for deaf children and their families, and information and evidence about cochlear implantation in children. Helpful for both families and professionals. Available to download.
