At the GPCME Conference in Rotorua, the Pindrop Foundation team had the chance to speak with GPs, practice nurses and other health professionals about cochlear implants in New Zealand.

Many of the questions they asked are the same questions we hear regularly from people with hearing loss and their whānau:

• How do I get referred?
• Who is eligible?
• What funding is available?
• What if I want two cochlear implants?
• What about single-sided deafness or tinnitus?
