NORDIC ADULT CI ACTION GROUP ONLINE

The Nordic group has been meeting and sharing information for two years – about moving on with adult CI in the Nordic region. This week we met online from Iceland, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark to share the cost effectiveness data from Sweden and the CI evidence from the WHO World Report on Hearing which is in the CIICA summaries. Asa Skagerstrand gave a great update on her Swedish project ” Person centred care and cohesive care processes for adults with severe to profound hearing loss.”  Her emphasis on person centred care and the adult being the expert in their own situation was important to hear for us all and is key to the WHO Report. Translations have begun on the summaries into the Nordic languages to be shared and used in advocacy work.
