In March to coincide with World Hearing Day, we are conducting an awareness campaign targeting GP’s and health consumers about the availability of cochlear implants for those adults who derive little or no benefit from their hearing aids and who would benefit from CI.

In NZ, as in other countries, we know that there is a lack of knowledge amongst Primary Health Care practitioners (GP’s & Practice nurses) about the benefits of cochlear implants for severe to profound hearing loss. We will campaign across:

• Health TV
• Medical board displays
• NZ Doctor Magazine
• Pindrop Foundation website and social media platforms.
