HLAA: Voice of the Patient Report now available

The Hearing Loss Association of America held an Externally-Led Patient-Focused Drug Development (EL-PFDD) meeting. During the meeting, we were able to hear from patients regarding hearing loss symptoms and treatments. The “Voice of the Patient” report is now available online. You will also find the comments we received prior to, during and after the meeting online.

The British Cochlear Implant Group collects data from all CI centres in the UK and publishes this data on their website: www.bcig.org.uk The data from the time of the pandemic is interesting and shows the reduction in numbers receiving implants during this time, but also reveals the number of CI which were achieved in this challenging period.

NORDIC ADULT CI ACTION GROUP ONLINE

The Nordic Adult CI Action Group met online - from Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, Denmark - and shared the evidence from the WHO World Report on Hearing and the CIICA summaries, which will now be translated into the Nordic languages. Asa Skagerstrand presented on person centred care and cohesive care processes for adults with severe and profound hearing loss.
