BCIG: Being of Sound Health: The ‘Life Benefits’ of Auditory Implants

British Cochlear Implant Group Annual Conference:

Being of Sound Health: The ‘Life Benefits’ of Auditory Implants

Meeting face to face at last!!

This year the conference was held at the prestigious Cardiff City Hall, which lies in the heart of Cardiff’s Civic Centre; an area of impressive buildings, landscaped gardens and broad tree-lined avenues.

The meeting was jointly hosted by both North Wales and South Wales Cochlear Implant Programmes with Professor Helen Cullington welcoming us all.

The theme  ‘Being of Sound Health: The ‘Life Benefits’ of Auditory Implants’  was perfect in today’s world, and the programme provided stimulating presentations on a range of topics. It was great to be able to have face to face discussions at last – and to catch up with friends old and new!

The Gala Reception  at the Cardiff National Museum and Art Gallery was attended by all – eager to be together again -and even to be able to dance again!

The Graham Fraser lecture was given by Professor Catherine Birman, Sydney; here she is with Patricia Fraser, and Prof Helen Cullington.
