Evaluating remote technologies for adult cochlear implant users

Development of a core outcome set to evaluate remote technologies for adult cochlear implant users

Dr Cathy Sucher and Assoc Prof Mel Ferguson  are investigating ways to assess if the delivery of cochlear implant services through telehealth is equivalent to the gold-standard face-to-face clinical model of care.

They would like to invite you to participate in a series of three online Delphi review surveys that we are conducting as part of our research project to ‘Develop a core set of outcome measures to evaluate remote technologies for cochlear implant users’. Development of a core set of outcome measures will support clinicians, CI clinics, researchers and policy makers to maximise the potential benefits of this model of care, and to ensure optimal and personalised care for CI users.

You will be asked about your opinion on a series of statements on key outcome areas (domains) that can be used to assess outcomes of remote technologies for CI users and CI services. The aim is to achieve consensus on which domains to include in a Core Outcome Set (COS).
