HUMELAN’S KNOWLEDGE HUB

HUMELAN’S KNOWLEDGE HUB, ONLINE COMMUNITIES, AND SOCIAL IMPACT TOOLS

Created by cochlear implant user and surgeon, Prof. Michal Luntz, and her daughter, Gil Kaminski, Humelan provides a knowledge hub, online communities, and technology to navigate life with hearing loss, as well as tools to make our environment more accessible and inclusive.

Explore https://www.humelan.com/ to discover reliable information, connect with supportive communities, and collaborate to make our environment more accessible and inclusive.

Humelan was founded by a mother-daughter team with firsthand experience of hearing loss. Humelan’s approach is grounded in person-centered care (PCC) – putting the person with hearing loss at the center and in the driver’s seat, respecting individual preferences and values, prioritizing shared decision-making, and inviting friends and family into the process.

All information published and every technology developed by Humelan is created and reviewed by people with firsthand experience of hearing loss, and by world-renowned hearing clinicians and researchers.

This is a resource for those living with hearing loss and their families who are interested in:

  • Accessing trustworthy information articulated in clear, non-clinical language
  • Connecting with others
  • Driving change
  • Ensuring that hearing health technologies are developed with continuous feedback from individuals with lived experiences of hearing loss
