Following our previous discussion on the realities of remote care and online appointment, this next conversation turns toward the future. What could the future of remote care look like for young adults with cochlear implants? What tools, ideas and innovations could make remote care more accessible, effective and personalised?

Led by Dr. Jessica Hissam, Executive Director of NextGen Deaf and a cochlear implant user from the USA, this session invited discussion around key questions:

• What digital feature or tool that could make your cochlear implant care easier or more responsive?
• What are small ways online care could add to—not replace—your connection with your audiologist?
• If there was funding for new ideas, what would you want to create or improve?
