Unfiltered: Young People on Accessibility in Education

To mark World Hearing Day 2026, young adults with cochlear implants from around the world share their lived experiences of accessibility in education. A CIICA Conversation will take place on this day, and you can REGISTER HERE.

From mainstream classrooms to higher education, these voices highlight the real barriers, the missed opportunities, and the changes that made a difference.

This video was created as part of the CIICA Young People’s Conversation on Improving Accessibility in Education. It centres lived experience, not policy theory, not assumptions but real stories from those directly impacted.

We invite educators, audiologists, policymakers, and allies to listen, reflect, and take action.

Accessibility is not an adjustment. It is a right.
