CIICA CONVERSATION: CI AND TINNITUS; WHAT DO WE KNOW AND WHAT DO WE WANT TO KNOW?
TUESDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER 18:00 UK | 19:00 CEST | 13:00 EDT | 10:00 PDT | 30th SEPTEMBER 03:00 AEST | 06:00 NZ
Tinnitus can be a significant part of the cochlear implant journey, with experiences varying widely before implantation, during activation and over time. But how much do we really know about the relationship between cochlear implants and tinnitus?
Building on previous CIICA Conversations, this session will explore what we know about tinnitus and cochlear implants — and, importantly, what we still need to understand. The conversation will bring together the latest research, with lived experience of our contributors. We’ll look beyond the existing evidence to consider the questions that matter most to CI users, families, professionals and advocates, and what we can do to help shape future research and understanding.

The conversation will be led by Robert Mandara, CI user and advocate from Finland; Kelly Assouly, researcher from the Netherlands; and Charlotte Young, CI user and advocate from the UK.
Join this inclusive conversation and help us explore the questions that still need answers!
Captioning will be available in English with other languages available on request.
