It is a really good idea to share resources and see what is happening in other countries. This is crucial to advocacy work.
CI User
Cochlear Implant Quality of Life (CIQOL) Instruments for Adult Assessment
CIQOL is a suite of instruments which can be used to provide a comprehensive assessment of the functional abilities of adults with CI. The person-centered approach used by the team at the Medical University of South Carolina contrasts with many previously developed patient-reported outcome measures, which were developed using expert opinion. LIVING GUIDELINES: LISTENING TO CI USERS
The Living Guidelines Project aims at producing evidence based guidelines for CI in adults, to ensure that those who need CIs get the best possible services. CIICA has had a role in ensuring that the user voice is heard in the development of the guidelines, and held four Conversations where you had your say. DOWNLOAD THE SUMMARY.
Resources for Teachers of the Deaf @BATOD
The British Association of Teachers of the Deaf have many resources for teachers and parents and young people on their website. They publish annual reports about teh figures for deaf children in the UK and resources about managing Listening and Cognitive Effort. Do have a look and they are downloadable.
