CIICA Events
We have two types of CIICA EVENTS: CIICA LIVE and CIICA CONVERSATIONS.
CIICA LIVE events have presentations from our global Community Members on a specific topic that has been suggested, and discussion is encouraged in the chat room. They last 90 minutes, are captioned and the presentations are available afterward for those who missed them or would like to share them.
CIICA CONVERSATIONS are for small groups to discuss a suggested topic for a short time: one hour. The conversations are facilitated by some of our Community Members, captioned and the summary of the issues which emerged are published on the website afterward.
We provide a safe space for all participants of our online conversations. Please CLICK HERE to read our Code of Conduct for online events.

CIICA CONVERSATION: DEFINING GREEN CI SERVICES
A recent webinar hosted by the International Society of Audiology explored the issues of delivering audiology services which consider the issues of climate change and the environment. This conversation will look at the challenges of delivering CI services which care for patients and the planet and share some practical suggestions.

This CIICA Conversation invites you to learn more about our project on Parents' Views in Low and Middle Income Countries, and in particular their financial challenges which is emerging as a major issue. On World Hearing Day this CIICA Conversation will explore how accessibility in school and higher education can improve the lives of young people with cochlear implants.
CIICA CONVERSATION: ADULTS WITH CI: THE IMPACT ON THE FAMILY

CIICA CONVERSATION: LMIC, PARENTS’ VOICES
Following previous conversations about CI for children in LMIC, the group decided we need to address the lack of awareness. It was decided that we will collect parents' stories of the challenges they have faced in LMIC and how they have addressed them, to share their stories with others. These will be then collated on CIICA website. Conversation summary available soon!
