Opening the XIII EUROCIU Symposium in Rotterdam, President Teresa Amat welcomed a packed auditorium to an inspiring conference, where accessibility was key. She emphasised the close work with CIICA and members of CIICA were very happy to contribute to this exciting event and to meet up in person with so many people!
Thanks to you all, our survey of adults with CI, in collaboration with York Uni, Toronto, had an amazing 1238 respondents. We have begun sharing the initial data and you can look here. We have much more to do with such rich data and replies!
Professor Ferdinando Grandori welcomed everyone back to Como for the first face to face HEAL conference -and CIICA was there too! The conference had its usual great interactive vibe and so good to meet up for the first time for CIICA.

The Malala Fund’s campaign to promote the education of young women and girls has featured a young doctor with Cochlear Implants. “I had not seen, read or even heard about a doctor with disabilities so I (mistakenly) believed that medicine wasn’t an option for me,” said 24-year-old doctor Mahrukh Zaidi.
