CIICA Events
We have two types of CIICA EVENTS: CIICA LIVE and CIICA CONVERSATIONS.
CIICA LIVE events have presentations from our global Community Members on a specific topic that has been suggested, and discussion is encouraged in the chat room. They last 90 minutes, are captioned and the presentations are available afterward for those who missed them or would like to share them.
CIICA CONVERSATIONS are for small groups to discuss a suggested topic for a short time: one hour. The conversations are facilitated by some of our Community Members, captioned and the summary of the issues which emerged are published on the website afterward.

CIICA LIVE: CI PROVISION IN LOW RESOURCED COUNTRIES – THE CHALLENGES
The provision of CI services in Low resourced Countries is a major issue to address. This inspiring CIICA LIVE event shared the thoughts and activities of those who deal with this on a daily basis. CIICA LIVE: CI ADVOCACY IN ACTION
CI ADVOCACY IN ACTION, our live conference in Brussels was an amazing event with 100 delegates from 29 countries, including 38 CI users. This CIICA LIVE on line event, chaired by Professor Holly Teagle, heard further from some of the speakers as they shared reflections and plans which have emerged from this vibrant meeting. It also shared our new resource - A Practical Guide to CI Advocacy. Have a look a the resource and at the captioned presentations.
CIICA LIVE: CI SERVICES MATTER
CLEARLY CI SERVICES MATTER. The CIICA global survey on the CI services adult users get and what they would like had over 1,000 respondents from over 40 countries and the report is to be launched on 3 November. The report and its recommendations were explored and presented at this event.
CIICA LIVE: THE LIVING GUIDELINES: IMPACT ON ADULT CI SERVICES AND ACCESS?
The final Living Guidelines will be launched 14 July. This CIICA LIVE event gave a brief update on them and shared great ideas from advocacy groups and professionals from across the globe as to why they are important and how they will use them to change CI access and services. CIICA LIVE: DELIVERING PERSON AND FAMILY CENTRED CI SERVICES
The presentations at this exciting CIICA LIVE event explored the concept and provision of Person and Family Centered Care in CI Services, following on from our Conversations, and the input to our global survey. CIICA LIVE: OUR ADULT SURVEY: EXPLORING THE ISSUES
There were over 1000 responses to our global survey of adults with CI - what services would you like and what are you getting? This inspiring CIICA LIVE event explored some of the issues emerging from your responses: funding, lifelong services, decision making, peer groups and counselling services. CIICA LIVE: Young people with CI, our opportunities and challenges
This inspiring session was chaired by Bowen Tang, CI User, and President of the International Federation of Hard of Hearing Young People, IFHOHYP.
