A new report on hearing screening for non-sympotic adults over 50 with age related hearing loss by the US Preventative Task Force has concluded that they cannot recommend hearing screening for this group. World Hearing Day is celebrated annually on 3 March – this year’s theme is Hearing Care for ALL.

and a lot happened around the world! WHO led the way with their global launch of the World Report on Hearing and exciting events everywhere brought the attention of many to the impact of hearing loss and deafness.
The Lancet, 13 March 2021: Data supporting the World Report on Hearing: Hearing loss is the third most common cause of years lived with disability and the first in the over70's.
This year on World Hearing Day the first World Report on Hearing was launched – a landmark moment in the development of global Ear and Hearing Care and a document really useful as an advocacy tool for use with policy makers and funders.
